Making Latte Art with Your Partner

Are you looking for a unique and exciting date idea for you and your partner to explore in Kenya? From exploring new coffee shops to figuring out how to create the perfect brew, coffee has become more than just a way to start the day. It’s an entire experience that you can share with your loved ones. Recently, Felipe and I signed up for a latte art class that was hosted by the East African School of Coffee. It turned out to be a great way to spend our Sunday morning together.

Practice Makes
Perfect!

Throughout the class, we learned how to make different designs on our lattes, including a heart and a tulip. Our instructor was adept in showing us how to make the perfect shapes using different techniques. By the end of the class, we felt confident in creating our own latte art designs. Our final test was creating the latte art on real milk. It was super exciting to put what we've learned to the test! Together we toasted to our newly learned talent, and it was a memorable moment that we still talk about till today.

If you’re interested in taking a latte art class, I suggest that you start by doing some research online. Look for schools or local cafes that offer classes for couples and book in advance. You can also look for classes on Airbnb Experiences or other websites. Taking a latte art class with your partner is a perfect way to spice up your usual date routine and explore a creative activity together.

Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or not, taking a latte art class with your loved one is an enjoyable way to bond over a shared interest. The East African School of Coffee provided an excellent platform for us to learn a new skill and have some fun while doing it.

They offer group classes, private classes and will even come to your place to teach techniques on whatever machine you have at home.  We will definitely be taking another class in the future to hone-in our barista skills.
